Irish Aid Mission in Freetown
Bex worked in a very professional manner and we were very happy with the quality and range of the photos she took for us.
Philip Cowell, Head of Programmes, English PEN
Bex was fantastic to work with. A natural eye for photography, she inspired great confidence in us from the word “go”. Even though we had to work from afar, Bex always made us feel like she was in control of the task at hand. The end result was superb and gave our project gravitas and great spirit. We’re going to work with Bex again, definitely!

Photographing classical ballet is a technical and physical challenge. Low light, very fast movement, only one chance to get the shot, precision, the need to be invisible in the studio … the list goes on. Press photography deadlines can be punishing too; as a digital business running 24/7 Ballet News often required Bex to turn images around in a matter of hours. Bex took it all in her stride on each occasion, especially when photographing the top ballet dancers in the world, and probably taught me a thing or two about photography. Bex has an innate ability to capture the most difficult & fleeting of ballet images and the colour, texture and composition of her inviting photographs is second to none. At the same time Bex melted effortlessly into the codified atmosphere of the ballet studio and won plaudits from those around her. Photography is a massively important part of my business and having Bex’s images on the website is a huge asset to Ballet News. Long may it continue!
